Andreas Reschke, Adolf‘s second great-grandfather was born somewhere in Germany. His son, Andreas, was born at Grabowiec, Poznan, Germany (No. 1). He married, had children und died at Mielnica. His grandson Andreas (son of Michael), was born at Borecznia Wielka (No. 2). Andreas‘s son Adolf Reschke was born November 3, 1870 at Krosniewice (No 3). From there he traveled with his family to the Ukraine (No. 4). This is where Adolf grew up, married, became a teacher/preacher und taught for 23 years. In 1913 he, his wife Juliane and their nine children started their journey back to Germany. They stopped at Konitz (Chojnice) (No. 5) because homesteads were being given to returning Germans by the German Kaiser who created a commission in 1908 for 75-80 homesteads given with no payment or interest for 3 yrs. There they stayed until 1919 when they sold their property and continued their journey to Karft near Wittenburg, Mecklenburg, Germany, (No. 6) where they purchased property until they sold in 1924. Adolf immigrated with some of his family to Brazil. Others left for Chicago, l in 1922 a 1923. All of the above is documented in the notes on the family group records of the various families.
